The walk begins at 8am, or earlier if preferred, when the dawn chorus is quietening so individual songbirds can be heard. As the dawn chorus fades you will be guided by a Wilderness Reserve Ranger who will explain how to identify each songster. Sibton Park lake, part of Kim Wilkie’s revival of this Arcadian landscape, is alive with butterflies and dragonflies throughout the summer months. Guests take small rowing boats onto the lake from which the margins and shoreline can be explored, with stopping off points to search wild flower meadows for butterflies and other insects.
